Partner and family therapy is a promise to prioritize your relationships now.

Are you tired of endless arguments that go in circles, or feeling like your needs don’t matter? Perhaps your family has struggled with communication and boundaries, or your habituated trauma responses make finding trust in romantic relationships difficult. Everyone wants connected, meaningful relationships, but trying to talk it out often gets stuck in cycles we aren’t even aware of. Let’s work together to enhance your existing skills and explore healing in a new way.

The Somatic Therapy Relationship Program is the only one of its kind in Alaska, based on neuroscience and somatic psychotherapy, offered in a short-term group format. The program is available at a rate of $250/hour for 4-6 weeks (prepay discount available) or as an in-network insurance based service with Premera Blue Cross policy holders.

This style of therapy is trauma-informed, neurodivergent friendly, and conducted in person in Fairbanks, Alaska. It is suited best for situations where intimate partner violence or court proceedings are not currently involved. Minors must have written approval of (or be participating with) all legal guardians. This program can accommodate any style of partnership or family configuration including ENM structures, relationship anarchy, and blended families.

The program includes the following content but will be modified based on existing skills:

  • Practice of active listening and communication

  • Attachment exploration

  • Embodied attunement and boundary work

  • Mapping capacity and the rupture/repair cycle

  • Self-regulation and co-regulation skill practice
